FOSS4G 2019 - Bucharest, Romania

In the last week of August 2019, I went to Bucharest, Romania to attend the FOSS4G 2019 conference. I delivered a presentation there on a project I had been working on during my bachelors.  People from various nations (around 75) attended the conference. The venues of the conference were - the InterContinental Bucharest, the National Theatre Bucharest, and the Bucharest University. The organizers arranged for an ice-breaker party at the Bragadiru Palace, and also a gala dinner at the Palce of Parliament.

I was marvelled by the Romanian architecture. I was staying in the Old Town in Bucharest, which was mostly medieval style architecture. It was surrounded by commercial spaces of modern architecture, and it sort of blended in.
