In the second week of January 2020, I went on a cruise trip with my parents. At that time the COVID-19 (Corona Virus) was confined mostly within Wuhan, China with the active number of cases in three digits. At that time, it was something the rest of the world didn't even consider giving attention to. Today we know how wrong we all were.
The cruise (Costa Victoria) sailed from Male, Maldives to Colombo, Sri Lanka, then to Goa, India, and finally to Mumbai, India.
It was an 8 day-long journey at the sea. However, we arrived in Maldives 3 days prior to cruise departure. Maldives is the most relaxing place I have ever been to till now. The waters were clear, beaches beautiful. At that time, I saw more locals at all the places (beaches and other tourist spots) than the tourists. In general, people (local citizens) were not in a rush, opposite to what I have been experiencing in Delhi-NCR, India (I work here). By far, this has been my relaxing trip ever.
